message from the leadership

At
City Church we have the sense of being
part of a family where you can quickly
get to know one another.
This
is complemented by the fact that as
a Pentecostal church we value the opportunity
to express our love for God through
our worship and the gifts of the Holy
Spirit.
We
value biblically – based teaching and
always seek to make this related to
practical living.

We
want to be and become a church....
- Which
welcomes and makes everyone who
comes in through the doors to feel
significant
- Where
everyone feels supported and loved
enough to be able to make mistakes
without fearing rejection.
- Where
each member prays consistently for
people to come to know Jesus and
seeks opportunities to share their
faith each day.

loves in word and deed, in faith and
action

A
church :
- Which
expects God to speak by the gifts
of the Holy Spirit and encourages
all to seek after ‘spiritual abilities’
(lCor 14.1)
- Which
believes in purity and holiness
as a present experience of all true
believers because of the sacrifice
of Jesus and by the indwelling power
of the Holy Spirit.
- Where
people experience the power of God
to set free from all forms of spiritual
bondage, and healing from all forms
of sickness.

A
church :
- Which
recognises, motivates trains and
releases people into their God-given
spheres of influence.
- Where
Jesus is the ‘first and last’, the
‘author and finisher of faith’ and
where no one tries to take His rightful
place in anyone else’s life.
